KK’s Favorite NYC Parks

The perfect place to spend your final summer days.

Only 41 days until the first day of Fall. Don’t hate me, but I’m super excited about it. The summer has been fabulous, but we’re in August so we’re definitely hitting that point where I’m really over sweating through my clothes and dealing with stinky BO in the subways.

With only a few weeks of summer left, I wanted to share my favorite parks throughout NYC. Check them out below!

Central Park

This list wouldn’t be complete without the iconic Central Park. This 843-acre park is filled with endless activities. I personally love spending time on the Great Lawn or Sheep’s Meadow with friends or even by myself with a good book.

Domino Park

Across the Williamsburg Bridge, you will find the historic Domino Sugar Refinery that once produced 98% of the sugar consumed in the United States. Domino Park has one of the best skyline views and features a playground, volleyball courts, and a Sunday greenmarket.

Rockefeller Park

Whenever someone tells me they want to see the Statue of Liberty, I tell them to visit Rockefeller Park. There is plenty of lawn space, plus you’re near multiple restaurants and shops at Brookfield Place and the Oculus, so the options are endless.

Brooklyn Bridge Park

This stunning waterfront park overlooks downtown Manhattan and the iconic Brooklyn Bridge built in 1883. Brooklyn Bridge Park stretches 1.3 miles from Columbia Heights to DUMBO. I love Jane’s Carousel - and so do the kids! - which is a restored hand-carved carousel from 1922.

Hudson River Park

Initially, I was sad when I moved from the East side to the West Side. But then I started spending time at Hudson River Park and now I’m obsessed so it’s all good! I also love riding a Citi Bike along the park because there’s a dedicated bike lane.
