The Corner Store

Was the Taylor Swift favorite worth the hype?

Frank was able to snag a prime time reservation at Catch’s sister restaurant in SoHo, The Corner Store. The ambiance was top notch. Very Polo Bar vibes, with the American style, velvet booths, tiled marble floor and wood paneling throughout. Our reservation was also during a horrible tropical storm, so I was VERY happy to be inside for the next 2 hours!

They are known for their martinis, so that was first on Frank’s list. They had a nice selection of non-alcoholic beverages, so I went for the pomegranate fizz, which was very refreshing.

We ordered the following: jumbo shrimp cocktail, five cheese pizza rolls, whole dover sole, ribeye, whipped potatoes, and finished with the apple hand pies. Our entrees were great, but I wasn’t overly impressed with their fancy pizza rolls - which is what every Tik Toker would film, so I had to try them! I loved the overall vibe, but I’m not in a rush to get back. I also ate at 4 Charles three nights before, so it’s REALLY hard to top that experience.
